Tyler Carson

Tyler began practicing yoga at the age of 16 to help alleviate back pain from minor scoliosis. As Tyler began to practice more regularly, he quickly realized not only the physical rewards of yoga, but also the mental, spiritual, and philosophical benefits. He conceptualizes yoga as the meeting grounds of the body and mind - a spiritual space that helps equalize and restore the natural rhythms of the human. Does he always access this space of balance in his own personal practice? Of course not; but it is about striving towards this space of harmony.

Tyler became a Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance in 2016, completing his 200hr teacher training at Yandara Yoga Institute in Baja California, Mexico. There Tyler was trained to teach Hatha and Vinyasa style yoga, but also incorporates his more traditional background in Sivananada and Ashtanga yoga to create dynamic, challenging, and well-balanced flow classes.

Tyler has also been employed as a swim, tennis, as well as a university instructor. He is currently enrolled as a PhD student at Rutgers.
